Use your voice
The present day consumer requires brands and influencers to have a position in some very polarizing issues today. This is a communication exercise for brands and they don't realize it. The goal of your communication should be to bring understanding and togetherness and not to separate or blame.
In using your voice you should understand that it's less about what you say and more about how you say it. Consumers can be very forgiving. Use your voice to address an issue that you’re passionate about and use your creativity to explain why you have taken that stance. Many will disagree, but reasonable supporters will appreciate clear, honest communication.
Leave your comfort zone
Many times growth can require us to be uncomfortable. Those who lean into that uncomfortability tend to have a more explorative nature that leads to new horizons frequently. This requires awareness on your behalf.
For brands, uncomfortability can be easy to identify if the workplace is designed to reward new thoughts, ideas, and constructive criticism. Influencers should identify areas of discomfort through reflection. What forms of content do you see that you don’t think suit you? Don’t sell out or pretend to be something that you’re not, but put effort into understanding why you hold that position. This will lead to a greater understanding of your brand, and may reveal that you are better suited for some creative than you originally thought.
